I have to say this is a premium model. I cant recall ever coming across one of these in quite this conditionComlete with instructions , service manual Seuthe oil and funnel in sealed cellophane pack and unopened lubrication oil.I suspect I am the first person to take the loco body off since it left the factory in December 1961 some 60 years ago. As you can see it has just residue from disntegrated packing.
After some thought , I decided that I would lightly clean , oil and lubicate the model and give it a test, as opposed to leaving as is. Selling untested engines is abit of a no no!
As you can see from the video below, it ran perfectly for the 10 or 15 seconds I had it on my rolling road to make sure the smoke unit worked OK.
This engine is simply as good as you get. Please note it was pointed out to me that the tender is slightly later than the loco so have dropped the price to reflect this (or until a suitable one arrives!
