Made in 1959 for just a year or so. Pat Hammonds Volume two tells me that they swapped out the boxes later on so the piece could be sent out construscted because in these early flat boxes the tops of the gates were easily broken. But here it is 67 years later and still with its original packing tissue. Its red lamps that slot on to the gates still sealed in their bag!
