I cant recall ever having one of these this good.

Theres a massive bonus with this set in that it comes with TWO sets of platform extensions (so 4 x side walls (two have a couple of marks), 4 x side platforms and 2 centre plantforms that are mint and unsued . You will be able to build a beautiful substantial station with the addition of these very sought after extras.

The only thing that lets it down is a repaired box lid (one corner split but lid stabilised!). The box base is excellent as are the 2 cardboard inserts.

This is an early set when they were still using up all the Hornby Dublo bits before starting to remanufacture parts as they ran out, in the traditional maroon and grey.

This example has never been fully built. Most of the small components (glazing nuts and bolts etc) are still sealed in brown paper wrapping. The parts in this gleam like they have just come out of the factory. Look at those canopies! Most of the components are untouched.

What has happened is that an earlier owner has fitted the clocks, glazing units and window frames to the main building and then appears to have packed it away. Otherwise this set is Mint. Beautiful!
