What a treat to have this in stock and one of my favourite toys as a child!
The only faults here are a small amount of red paint loss on the top fin, very slight peeling on the edges of a couple of the thunderbird four transfers and some minor shelf wear to the correct “empire made” box. Inner packing is present.
This is a near mint and definitely unplayed with example. It feels factory fresh and in stunning condition
Having read up about these, the Hong Kong made examples are supposed to have a black battery base and no rudder. This one has a yellow base and a rudder and clearly marked Hong Kong. Presumably it was modified at a later date
So I have bought some AA to C Battery converters that will come with your model along with a new set of AA bateries order to test it.
It works perfectly. Check out the video. Just look at the underside! just like its just left the factory!
The engine pieces at the back were just lightly attached as they dont appear to have been before.
What a stunning piece thats a focal point in our office at the moment!
