Finding Us

Staithes is at the very top of the North Yorkshire Coastline.

The beck you can see in the photograph is the county border between North Yorkshire on the right and East Cleveland to the left.

Generally, you are likely to drive to Staithes and park in one of the car parks at the top of the village, or arrive walking via the Cleveland Way.

The Cleveland Way runs through Staithes from Whitby and on up towards the 660ft Boulby Cliffs to the north of Staithes via Cowbar Bank (Or Cardiac Hill as we call it!).

If you are driving, you will walk down the bank on the right. There is no visitor parking in the old village.
Chapel Yard Stores is tucked away down Chapel Yard just in front of the old Chapel itself.

The entrance to Chapel Yard is half way down the cobbled High Street and is accessed via a gap between the cottages

We look forward to seeing you there!
